THE BOYZ recently filed a police complaint against One Hundred Label‘s CEO Cha Ga Won for embezzlement following their announcement to terminate their exclusive contracts. The legal representative for THE BOYZ confirmed to Xports News on April 21st that charges are being pursued under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.

One Hundred Label responded shortly after by stating they will not tolerate what they referred to as a distortion of facts and malicious public opinion manipulation. “The company has confirmed that the investigative authorities have made a decision regarding this embezzlement complaint,” they claimed. “It seems that it has been proven this is a ‘smear campaign’ lawsuit with a considerably weak legal basis.”

The agency clarified that an audit by an accounting firm confirmed no embezzlement. One Hundred explained, “We have completed an account analysis and overall audit through accountant Kim Geon Young of Hyun Accounting Firm, and have clearly confirmed that no misappropriation of funds or embezzlement has occurred.”

One Hundred also expressed their intention to pursue legal action, including charges of false accusation, against the artist who filed the baseless criminal complaint. The agency argued, “We believe the escalating conflict is not solely due to the artist’s intentions, but also the intentions of the artist’s legal representative.” They further asserted, “The artist’s legal representative is providing malicious false information to some members of THE BOYZ, severely damaging the trust between the artists and the company.”

In conclusion, One Hundred emphasized that they have already paid high exclusive contract fees and settlement money to the members. They also stated, “A plan for settlement payments is transparently established.”

However, THE BOYZ’s legal team refuted these claims regarding the payment of funds. On April 22nd, Lawyer Kim Moon Hee from Yulchon LLC issued a statement, saying, “We want to make it clear that we have not received any payments, including the unpaid settlement funds from the 3rd and 4th quarters of last year.”

The members also shared screenshots of an article on their social media stating that One Hundred had completed the settlement with THE BOYZ. They circled the phrase “already paid high exclusive contract fees and settlement money” and added “?” and “X,” along with “We have not received anything,” to clearly express that the settlement has not been made.
