Shin Mina purchased an old residential property in the Yongsan area of Seoul in January 2018. She later demolished the building and converted the land into a parking lot. Recent analyses suggest the property’s value has increased by at least 10 billion KRW (approximately $6.9 million).
News1 reported on February 23rd quoted real estate brokerage firm Building Road and said “Shin Mina is expected to have gained at least 10 billion KRW in property value based on other property transactions nearby the area.”
The real estate industry estimates the current market value of Shin Mina’s parking lot at around 15.5 billion won (about $10.7 million). This valuation is based on recent commercial property sales within a one- to two-minute walk from her site, where buildings sold for 1.39 billion won ($960,000) to 1.57 billion won (about $1.8 million) per 3.3 square meters in August of last year. Compared to her original purchase price, the property’s value has risen by roughly 10 billion KRW (approximately $6.9 million).
Back in 2018, Shin Mina bought the old two-story house, which sat on a 340-square-meter lot, for 5.55 billion KRW (approximately $3.1 million). Due to its deteriorated condition, the building itself had little market value. At the time, there was speculation that she might construct a new building on the site.
Below are the before and after photos of the site:

Records show the maximum registered loan for the property was 3.36 billion KRW (about $2.3 million), with an estimated loan principal of 2.8 billion KRW. The remaining 2.75 billion KRW (roughly $1.9 million USD) of the purchase price is believed to have been paid in cash.
The property is located just a two-minute walk from Exit 3 of Samgakji Station, a key transfer point for Seoul Subway Lines 4 and 6. It’s also within walking distance of major corporate headquarters, including Amorepacific and HYBE, the entertainment company behind BTS. The area, known as Yongridan-gil, has become one of Seoul’s fastest-growing commercial districts in recent years, with rental prices soaring. The neighborhood’s floating population reached 137,159 people, according to 2024’s commercial district analysis by the city of Seoul,
On the acting front, Shin Mina starred in tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama No Gain No Love last year. Up next, she’s set to appear in the Netflix series Karma, alongside Park Hae Soo and Lee Hee Joon.
