Have you ever wondered which female leads took the reigns and initiated the first kiss? While there are many memorable situations from series like Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryoung, this list of intense kiss scene compilations is one you simply won’t want to miss.
Melo Movie – Park Bo Young and Choi Woo Shik
Many were surprised to see Park Bo Young’s character Mu Bee take the lead and initiate the first kiss with Ko Gyeom, played by Choi Woo Shik, in Melo Movie. The hit drama follows a romantic and nostalgic love story but Park Bo Young’s character is bold and brash. Ko Gyeom doesn’t give up on the closed-off Mu Bee and shows his endearing heart. It gives Mu Bee the courage to strike first and kiss Ko Gyeom under the dim street light on a winter’s night. It was a pleasant surprise to see this 2025 hit drama starting off strong with an empowered female lead. Will more women be taking romance into their own hands in the future?
Friendly Rivalry – Lee Hyeri and Chung Soo Bin
Although this is between two girls, it definitely counts! Things got steamy between both Hyeri and Chung Soo Bin’s characters Jae Yi and Seul Gi in Friendly Rivalry. As Seul Gi continues to draw suspicions and question Jae Yi’s unclear intentions, they undergo a lot of pushing and pulling between episodes. Then, the two bathe together, sharing a deep conversation, and Jae Yi strokes Seul Gi’s lips before initiating a kiss- making for a sensational moment. The scene set the internet ablaze for its LGBTQIA+ forward content and was quite the buzz for some time.
