Park Bo Young has addressed past dating rumors with actor-and-director Kim Hee Won, who is 19 years her senior, during a recent YouTube appearance.
In the latest episode of “Fairy Jaehyung” released on Sunday, Park discussed her relationship with Kim Hee Won, who directed her recent Disney Plus series Light Shop. “I was originally very close with Kim Hee Won,” she explained, adding, “We were so close that it sparked dating rumors.”
The actress revealed that the situation led to an unexpected communication freeze: “He felt so bad that he didn’t contact me for a year,” she shared. “He kept saying ‘I feel really bad’ and stopped contacting me.” Park’s response to the situation was direct. “I told him ‘Do you think our friendship would break because of something like this? I’m really angry,'” she recounted. “Since everyone knew how close we were, I said ‘Let’s just go back to being comfortable again.'”
Park offered insights into their friendship, saying, “We meet up often for meals and drinks,” adding an amusing detail, “Since he can’t drink alcohol at all, we go to like three cafés in one meeting. We really clicked while filming ‘Collective Invention,’ and there was one time when he, (Lee) Kwang Soo, and I talked over coffee until 5 AM.”
The actress also highlighted their professional bond. “When we meet, we talk a lot about acting. I get a lot of advice, we discuss projects, and recommend good works to each other,” she explained. “We share a lot about our filming experiences. He’s someone I can tell ‘This set is really tough’ to.”
