Disney Plus’s stylish action thriller A Shop for Killers is gearing up for a second season, reported exclusively from Starnews.
The sophomore season of the hit series is set to begin production in April 2025. The show, based on Kang Ji Young’s novel of the same name, premiered in January and follows Jung Ji An (Kim Hye Jun), who becomes the target of mysterious assassins after inheriting a dangerous legacy from her uncle Jung Jin Man (Lee Dong Wook).
The renewal comes as no surprise given the series’ strong global reception. However, director Lee Kwon previously revealed at Disney Plus’s 2024 Content Lineup Media Day in March, stating, “We’re currently conceptualizing season 2, but it’s difficult. I’m unsure about what story to tell and how to develop it.”
The freshman season of this stylish new-wave action drama featured a stellar ensemble including Lee Dong Wook, Kim Hye Jun, Seo Hyun Woo, Jo Han Sun, Park Ji Bin, and Geum Hannah. While it is yet to be confirmed if the original cast will return for the second season, filming is confirmed to commence in April.
