A never-before-seen world of ghosts and spirits is coming to Netflix with the working title East Palace.
This thrilling series is written by Kwon Sora and Seo Jea Won, known for their work on Bulgasal: Immortal Souls, and directed by Choi Jung Kyu, who gained acclaim for The Devil Judge. The story, crafted by these genre experts, features a star-studded cast.
Nam Joo Hyuk stars as Gucheon, a character who navigates the realm of ghosts and vanquishes them with his sword. He infiltrates the cursed palace to investigate the mysterious incidents occurring within, only to encounter a dark world beyond his wildest imagination.
Joining him is Roh Yoon Seo, who portrays Saeng Gang, a court lady with the unique ability to hear ghosts. Having perceived this ability as a curse throughout her life, she now uses it to uncover the palace’s secrets alongside Gucheon while harboring a secret of her own.
Cho Seung Woo plays the King, who discreetly recruits these two exceptional individuals to address the
palace’s curse. Although his reign is generally benevolent, the King possesses a complex and darker side.
As Gucheon and Saeng Gang respond to the King’s request to unravel the palace’s curse, what deep secrets will come to light? All eyes are on East Palace, coming soon exclusively to Netflix.
