The Korean Film Producers Association (KFPA) unveiled the winners of the 11th KFPA Awards on December 5th, recognizing the best of Korean cinema.
The Best Picture award went to 12.12: The Day, produced by Hive Media Corp. The film revisits Korea’s pivotal historical moment of October 26th, 1979, blending mass appeal with critical acclaim.
Jo Jung Suk received the Best Actor award for his performance in Pilot, where he wowed audiences with his signature comedic flair in the role of a man disguised as a woman. Kim Go Eun took home the Best Actress award for her portrayal of a shaman named Hwa Rim in Exhuma, delivering a striking and intense performance.
Ji Chang Wook earned Best Supporting Actor for his compelling role in Revolver, where he brought depth to a complex character. Yeom Hye Ran won Best Supporting Actress for her scene-stealing turn in Citizen of a Kind, showcasing exceptional Chinese dialogues and charismatic energy.

The winners were determined through a preliminary vote by KFPA members, followed by a final review by the awards committee. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 17th, at 7 PM KST at Indie Space and will be live-streamed on the KFPA and MaxMovie YouTube channels. Actor Kim Gyu Ri will host the event.
