Lee Min Jung is teaming up with Kim Ji Seok for her first TV role in five years in the new drama Yes, Let’s Get a Divorce (literal title). The series centers on a wedding boutique-owning couple as they navigate the rocky terrain of marriage, ultimately embarking on a “real divorce experience.”
In Yes, Let’s Get a Divorce, Lee takes on the role of Baek Mi Young, co-owner of Ji & White, alongside her husband Ji Won Ho, played by Kim Ji Seok. Mi Young, who grew up inspired by her father’s tailoring business, found herself diving into her work after her parents passed away in a tragic accident. Later, Mi Young entered a whirlwind marriage with Won Ho, a wedding shop designer who had stood by her side, and together, they founded Ji & White. But after seven years of marriage, Mi Young reaches her breaking point and asks for a divorce. This marks the actress’s return to the small screen five years after Once Again.
Kim Ji Seok’s character, Ji Won Ho, is the co-owner and designer of Ji & White and Mi Young’s husband. He fell for Mi Young at first sight and proposed just six months into dating. Despite a relatively smooth marriage, a crisis in their fourth year introduces an unresolved rift between them, eventually leading to the looming divorce.
The production team behind Yes, Let’s Get a Divorce expressed their excitement for the casting, saying, “It’s an honor to work with such trusted actors as Lee Min Jung and Kim Ji Seok for these roles. The dynamic between them promises to bring fantastic energy to the screen, delivering captivating performances for audiences.” They added, “Their chemistry is set to elevate the intensity and immersion of the drama, so we ask for your support and anticipation.”
Yes, Let’s Get a Divorce is slated for release in the first half of 2025 and will be available on a global OTT platform.
