Wi Ha Jun, returning as the audacious former student, is set to upheave Jung Ryeo Won’s life in tvN’s new weekend drama, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon. The network unveiled two character teasers today, heightening anticipation with the promise of a scandalous upheaval involving Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won) and Lee Jun Ho (Wi Ha Jun) in Daechi-dong.

The Midnight Romance in Hagwon paints the sweet and thrilling midnight romance between star instructor Seo Hye Jin and the cheeky new instructor Lee Jun Ho, her former student. As night falls over Daechi-dong, not only does romance blossom, but the rich and intricate lives of the academy instructors unfold. Directed by An Pan Seok, who has helmed numerous romance masterpieces like Something in the Rain and One Spring Night, the series is eagerly awaited.

The character teaser videos dive deep into the evolving dynamics between Seo Hye Jin and Lee Jun Ho, teasing the fluttering changes in their relationship. The teaser focusing on Seo Hye Jin starts with her encountering an unexpected intruder in her otherwise predictable life— her student from 10 years ago, Lee Jun Ho. No longer a student, Lee Jun Ho steps in as a teacher and swiftly disrupts Seo Hye Jin’s life, leading her through an emotional whirlwind. Despite her initial resistance to unpredictability, she finds herself admitting, “How can I not like Jun Ho? If there’s a way, tell me.”

Lee Jun Ho’s character teaser offers a glimpse into his determined efforts to shake Seo Hye Jin’s heart. Having become the “Daechi-dong miracle” with her help a decade ago, she has always been more than a teacher to him—she was his first love. Now, looking at her now with the eyes of a grown man, his longstanding feelings become apparent. His unrelenting approach includes bold provocations and a tender confession, “Tell me how you feel. I need you,” showcasing his deep-seated affection.

As these two become each other’s complex puzzles to solve, the drama teases an intriguing exploration of their unique relationship. The Midnight Romance in Hagwon is set to premiere on May 11th at 9:20 PM KST.
