Will we get to see Jung So Min and Jung Hae In on the same project?
On the 1st, Starnews reported that Jung So Min was cast to lead the upcoming rom-com Mom’s Friend’s Son (literal title), which the agency confirmed is under review.
Mom’s Friend’s Son revolves around a woman attempting to reboot her life, which has gone off track, and her “mom’s friend’s son” who knows all about her “dark chapter.”
If she does join the show, Jung So Min will play Bae Seok Ryu, a former project manager who is now unemployed. Seok Ryu has always been exceptional, consistently topping every exam since childhood, and never once failing to excel. A character with innate passion and abundant energy, Seok Ryu lands a job at a global corporation but ends up living as an unemployed individual following an incident.
The role of Choi Seung Hyo, Bae Seok Ryu’s “mom’s friend’s son,” is currently being considered by Jung Hae In, who’s eyeing his first-ever rom-com. Seung Hyo is the most prominent young architect in South Korea. Seok Ryu and Seung Hyo met at the age of four, becoming bathhouse buddies, sharing banana milk in the women’s bath.
Mom’s Friend’s Son reunites director Yoo Je Won and writer Shin Ha Eun, who previously collaborated on tvN’s Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. Production is set to commence once casting is finalized.
