tvN’s Unexpected Business in California made a strong debut with a 6 percent viewership rating for its first episode.

In this upcoming season, viewers follow the exciting journey of Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung as they embark on a new business venture in Monterey, a port city in central California, USA.

In the latest episode, Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung visit their Korean market in the port city, but upon arrival, they sense that things won’t go smoothly. As expected, they face difficulties when trying to take orders over the phone from a local customer who wants to purchase ten rolls of kimbap.

Things get even tougher when they can’t find the cash register and have to rely on POS machines with price tags for items. This means every time something with a price tag is sold, they have to manually update the inventory. To add to the chaos, they’re also dealing with the huge demand for kimbap – making them roll about 300 rolls of kimbaps a day.

Right at the moment, Han Hyo Joo, Lim Ju Hwan, and Yoon Kyung Ho step in to lend a hand. Han Hyo Joo’s fluent English helps in communicating with local customers, while Lim Ju Hwan and Yoon Kyung Ho assist Tae Hyun and In Sung as experienced part-timers.

The show’s first episode offers viewers a fresh experience set in the Korean market in the United States. Additionally, you can tell kimbap, one of those famous K-foods, is a hit not just in South Korea but also in the U.S.
