tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Marry My Husband (literal title) is set to serve up a compelling cocktail of drama with a star-studded ensemble.
Marry My Husband revolves around a woman who witnesses her husband and best friend’s affair, gets murdered, and then time-travels back 10 years ago to rewrite her crummy fate. Penned by writer Shin Yu Dam of Awaken and helmed by Special Labor Inspector and Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist director Park Won Gook, the drama already has viewers buzzing. The magnetic combination of Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, Lee Gi Kwang, and Gong Min Jeong is another hot talking point.
Park Min Young takes on the role of Kang Ji Won, a woman killed by her husband and best friend, who goes back a decade to reboot her life. Kang Ji Won pivots her once docile lifestyle 180 degrees to alter her destiny. Na In Woo plays Yoo Ji Hyuk, a man who has it all — looks, intellect, and physique. This flawless man turns awkward in front of his crush Kang Ji Won, but eventually becomes her biggest ally.
Lee Yi Kyung embodies Park Min Hwan, Kang Ji Won’s self-absorbed ex-husband who believes his wife is nothing but a servant. Song Ha Yoon turns into Kang Ji Won’s best friend, Jung Soo Min, signaling the birth of a new villain. She’s a woman with a docile exterior that masks a twisted interior.
Lee Gi Kwang plays the suave and successful chef Baek Eun Ho, who shares a past with both Kang Ji Won and Jung Soo Min. His future moves upon reencountering his first love Kang Ji Won are pivotal to the story. Gong Min Jeong adds realism to the drama as Yang Joo Ran, Kang Ji Won’s coworker who always ends up on the losing side, both at work and home.
