Jung Woo Sung’s directorial debut film A Man of Reason is dropping on the big screen on August 15th.

ACEMAKER MOVIEWORKS unveiled a new teaser poster and announced the release date on July 6th.

A Man of Reason is an action movie that follows the story of Soo Hyuk (played by Jung Woo Sung), a man who discovers that he has a young daughter after spending ten years in prison. As he tries to start a new life, he becomes the target of the gang he was once associated with, leading to a dangerous journey.

The teaser poster features Jung Woo Sung leaning on a car during sunset. The phrase “Ordinary Life, The Most Dangerous Dream” hints at his desire to live a different life from his past, which ironically becomes his most perilous dream.

The film has generated buzz ahead of its release after being screened at prestigious international film festivals such as the 47th Toronto International Film Festival, the 55th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, and the 42nd Hawai’i International Film Festival.

Jung Woo Sung takes on the lead role of Soo Hyuk in his directorial debut. Joining him are Kim Nam Gil, Park Sung Woong, Kim Jun Han, and Park Yoo Na, who bring fresh chemistry to their villainous characters. Kim Nam Gil portrays Woo Jin, a skilled operative with a 100 percent success rate, while Park Sung Woong plays Eung Guk, Soo Hyuk’s boss. Kim Jun Han takes on the role of Seung Joon, the organization’s second-in-command with low self-esteem, and Park Yoo Na stars as Jin Ah, Woo Jin’s partner and a bomb killer.
