After completing his 18-month-long mandatory military service on May 22nd, Seo Kang Joon has returned.

In his first photoshoot since his discharge, Seo Kang Joon stepped in front of Esquire Korea’s cameras, adorned in Louis Vuitton. Speaking on the unfamiliarity of returning to a photoshoot, Seo said, “Only today did it hit me that I have completed my military service. While having my hair and makeup done, I wondered, ‘Can I really be here like this?’ Until recently, I would be busy with afternoon duties at 2 PM.”

When asked what he was eager to do post-discharge, Seo Kang Joon didn’t hesitate to answer, “Acting.” He expressed his longing for the filming sets and acting, saying, “The best place to learn acting is on the set. Being away from it for a year and a half brought some anxiety.” He then revealed how he coped with the absence: “I read a lot of novels. I imagined myself in the situations and characters in the novels, pondering their lines.”

On rumors about numerous offers he received, Seo kept things vague, “I cannot say anything yet,” but hinted, “I think I will be able to share some good news soon.”

I think it’s a wonderful thing to believe and rely on each other with a partner for life.” In response to a question about his ideal type, Seo Kang Joon shared, “I like someone who loves their work and has pride in what they do.”
