According to SM Entertainment, Red Velvet’s Joy will be focusing on her recovery for the time being due to recent health issues. On the 26th, the agency stated, “Joy recently visited the hospital due to her worsening condition. She received medical advice that she needs treatment and rest.”
Therefore, Joy will be sitting out her upcoming schedules. The agency explained, “She will be taking a break and focusing on her recovery. The decision was made after thorough discussions.”
They added, “We apologize for causing concern. We will do our best to ensure Joy can return to her fans in good health. We will inform you when her activities will resume.”
Joy will also not be attending the recording of SBS’s Animal Farm today. SBS told Dispatch, “Joy will not be participating in today’s recording. There’s currently no talk about replacing her.”
Meanwhile, Joy recently performed in Red Velvet’s fourth solo concert “R to V.”
