Season 2 of tvN’s The Uncanny Counter will be airing on Saturdays and Sundays in the second half of 2023, with Cho Byeong Kyu, Yu Jun Sang, Kim Se Jeong, Yeom Hye Ran, and Ahn Suk Hwan reprising their roles.
The drama’s first season, which was released in 2020, revolved around demon hunters called “counters,” who come to Earth disguised as employees at a noodle restaurant to drive out evil spirits.
Jin Seon Kyu, Kang Ki Young, Kim Hieora, and Yoo In Soo will be newly joining the upcoming season. Jin Seon Kyu will play Joo Seok, the passionate firefighter who can’t stand injustice and becomes the savior of So Mun’s life, while Yoo In Soo will star as the rookie counter named Jeok Bong. Kang Ki Young will take on the role of the sinister evil spirit Pil Kwang, and Kim Hieora will play Gallie, the embodiment of evil itself.
The series’ production team shared, “We put in a lot of effort in producing Season 2 to repay the love we received from Season 1. Please stay tuned to watch the upgraded South Korean hero series as new members will be joining the original cast as counters and evil spirits to show off stronger teamwork.”
The Uncanny Counter 2 will premiere in the second half of this year.
