MBC released the first teaser for its new Friday-Saturday drama Season of Kkokdu (literal title) starring Im Soo Hyang and Kim Jung Hyun.
This fantasy romance drama is about a grim reaper named Kkokdu who comes down to this world to punish humans every 99 years. He meets a doctor named Han Gye Jeol with special abilities and starts working as a visiting doctor. The series is expected to tell a beautiful on-screen love story between Kim Jung Hyun, who will both play Kkodu and Do Jin Woo, and Im Soo Hyang, who will play Han Gye Jeol.
The first teaser captures the heart-fluttering moment between Kkokdu and Han Gye Jeol as they meet for the first time. With the sun just about to set over a field of green, a man and a woman are seen crossing a pedestrian overpass. As they get closer, a gentle breeze glides and stops them. A piece of the past flashes through Kkokdu’s mind, and he clutches his head in agony as Gye Joel approaches him for help.
The trailer ends with a flashback of the two confirming each other’s feelings in the past under the cherry blossoms. Curiosity is growing about what happened between them in the past and what fate has brought them together again.
Season of Kkokdu will premiere on January 27th of next year.
