Netflix has released the main poster and trailer for its upcoming suspense drama Notes from the Last Row, offering a closer look at the increasingly dangerous relationship at the center of the story.
The series follows Heo Moon Oh (played by Choi Min Sik), a failed writer and literature professor who becomes fascinated by the extraordinary talent of Lee Kang (Choi Hyun Wook), a mysterious student sitting in the back row of his classroom.
The newly released poster places the two characters among towering bookshelves, highlighting the stark contrast between them. While Heo appears troubled and unsettled, Lee stands alone with a calm confidence, hinting at the uneasy dynamic that develops between teacher and student. The tagline, “The story with a twisted ending,” teases the unpredictable events that will unfold as the pair begin private writing lessons.
The trailer opens with Heo challenging one of Lee’s stories, insisting, “But that’s just your imagination.”
“It’s not my imagination. I’m putting the pieces together,” Lee responds.
After impressing his professor by pointing out flaws in one of his lectures, Lee is invited to join a private writing class. He soon begins drawing inspiration from the lives of people around him, secretly observing events unfolding inside a friend’s home and turning them into stories.
As Lee’s behavior becomes increasingly intrusive, Heo warns him, “A writer shouldn’t do that.” But Lee remains undeterred, insisting he is simply searching for the truth.
Before long, Heo finds himself consumed by both Lee’s writing and the mysteries surrounding him. The trailer hints at a series of escalating incidents, including a mysterious car accident and soaring fire, suggesting that what begins as a literary mentorship could spiral into something far more dangerous.
The preview closes on Lee flashing an enigmatic smile, raising new questions about his true motives and the secrets hidden within his writing.
