Karina and Winter of aespa were spotted supporting South Korea at a World Cup match.
The two aespa star showed their support for South Korea during a World Cup group stage match against Czechia at Estadio Akron in Mexico on June 12th.
The official stadium account shared photos of the two idols in red cheering outfits, holding the South Korean flag before the game. Karina and Winter also posted the photos on their personal social media, sending messages of encouragement to the national team.
Fans in Mexico reacted enthusiastically, commenting things like “Korean sisters” and “Two beautiful beauties.”
South Korea, led by coach Hong Myung Bo, won the match 2-1 thanks to goals from Hwang In Beom and Oh Hyun Gyu. Many fans jokingly called Karina and Winter the team’s “victory fairies.”
South Korea will face Mexico next on June 19th at 10 AM and South Africa on June 25th at 10 AM.
