Lee Seung Gi‘s agency issued an official statement on November 21st regarding the reports that the star has not been paid for his music since his debut.
Hook Entertainment (owned by Kwon Jin Young) shared, “There has been negative news about the company and myself. Regardless of the news being true or not, I feel deeply ashamed of what happened. Everything is due to my negligence and lack of discretion, and I feel ashamed and sorry.” The rep added, “Although we must confirm the facts about the stories that are currently being reported, we ask for your understanding in the delay as we are currently checking the facts and are carefully approaching the matter since there may be legal issues in the future.”
The rep continued, “Once Hook Entertainment or I clarify the issue, I will take full responsibility without backing out or avoiding it.”
Meanwhile, Dispatch revealed yesterday that Lee Seung Gi had not been paid for his music releases for over 18 years.
