Another trailer of “The Villainess Is A Marionette” has been released.
On Wednesday, Kakao Entertainment released the second dramatic trailer titled “The Most Dangerous Obsession Begins” of “The Villainess Is A Marionette.” The clip showed Lee Soo Hyuk‘s transformation into charming, obsessive villain Prince Regef.
The first trailer released on the 7th drew enthusiastic responses from fans, recording 1 million views in just one day on YouTube. In addition, the popularity of original web novels and webtoon is also rising not only in Korea but also globally, ranking first in Thailand and Indonesia.
“The Most Dangerous Obsession Begins” captures Prince Regef’s precarious and chilly obsession with Princess Kayena (Han So Hee). In his low voice, he whispers, “Please stay beautiful only by my side. My dear sister, Kayena.” Then the copy “You are my own thing” appears with Kayena covered in strings like a marionette under the prince’s hand, giving a glimpse into what Kayena is trying to fight against.
On the other hand, Duke Raffaello Kidrey (Cha Eun Woo) is seen protecting Kayena. While it’s hinted that the two are getting closer to each other, Prince Regef explodes his dark aura, shouting, “You should’ve been my useless, fragile doll forever.”
As the story gradually approaches its climax, Kakao Entertainment plans to unveil the political game and fatal romance that’ll engulf the three characters following the first two episodes.
