aespa’s second EP Girls became the top-selling girl group album of all time.

The group proved their popularity by crushing the Circle’s (a.k.a Gaon) daily album chart, with their second EP achieving 1,645,255 copies in sales. The figure is by far the largest sales set by a K-pop girl group at the moment. They have also previously recorded a whopping 1.6 million pre-order sales and 1.42 million first-week sales upon releasing the album on July 8th and became the only girl group in K-pop history with a million sales mark achieved on their first week of release.

The female act also landed at No.3 on the Billboard 200 chart with their album, becoming the first female K-pop act to make it to the top three this year. Their latest album also came in at No.3 on the Artist 100 chart and entered a total of 10 Billboard charts. Out of the ten charts, they have topped the following three: Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales and World Album chart.
