After Kang Soo Yeon was taken to the hospital following cardiac arrest, many film insiders, including former chairperson of Busan International Film Festival Kim Dong Ho and director Yeon Sang Ho, have sent their wishes for her speedy recovery.
On April 5th, the fire department stated that the actress’s family found her suffering chest pain at her home in Seoul. They reportedly found her in a coma upon arrival.
Although the star received CPR on her way to a nearby hospital, she has yet to regain her consciousness. Reports say that she had called emergency services earlier due to her headache and later discovered her cerebral hemorrhage. Currently, her family is considering having her undergo emergency surgery. Regarding her collapse, the police said, “The incident has no criminal implications.”
Former chairperson of Busan International Film Festival Kim Dong Ho reportedly visited the hospital where the actress is on life support to wish her a speedy recovery. Director Yeon Sang Ho, who cast her in his upcoming Netflix Jung E shared, “She had no health issues while filming. She was very healthy, cheerful, and enthusiastic throughout the filming. This news was very shocking to me.” Struck by her status, many fans rushed into the comment section to wish her a fast recovery: “Wish you well,” “I sincerely pray for a miracle,” “I wish you a speedy recovery,” and “I hope she regains her consciousness.”
