Yum Jung Ah, Jeon So Min, and Kim Jae Hwa dream about “going to the moon” in the new JTBC drama Cleaning Up.
Cleaning Up illustrates the struggles of cleaners at a financial company as they forge their new destiny after getting a piece of information about insider trading. It’s based on the 2019 British series of the same name.
Yum Jung Ah takes on the role of Eo Yong Mi, a breadwinner who needs to take care of her two daughters, while Jeon So Min plays Ahn In Kyung, who wants to buy a food truck to run her moving-cafe business. Lastly, Kim Jae Hwa turns into Maeng Soo Ja, who boasts indomitable viability.
These three women, who work as cleaners at a financial company, have one job – clean and polish the building and offices. But in the poster, they’re cleaning a completely different thing, cash. The copy that reads “Using their skills to sweep the floor to sweep all the stock information” announces the birth of an unusual series.
The production team shared, “On one hand, they hold a spear called a plunger, and on the other hand, they hold a shield called desperation. Check if these girls, who have jumped into the stock war, will be able to hit the ceiling.”
Meanwhile, Hwarang and The Bridal Mask director Yoon Sung Sik and Return writer Choi Kyung Mi have joined hands for the production. It’ll premiere in June as the follow-up of My Liberation Notes.
