Kang Daniel shared his final thoughts on his Disney+ original series, Rookie Cops.

On March 17th, Kang Daniel released a heartfelt letter to his fans through his agency Konnect Entertainment. He wrote, “I can still vividly remember the time I spent on set. It feels good, strange and sad at the same time that the show is over now. It was a big challenge for me to show a new side of me to the public. But thanks to the great director, writer, peer actors and crew, I was able to learn so much from this experience.”

In the drama Rookie Cops, Kang Daniel plays an upright freshman named Wi Seung Hyun who goes on a rocky trail after meeting Go Eun Kang (Chae Soo Bin), a notorious troublemaker at the police academy. As he and his friends confront the injustice within the school, he slowly grows his feelings towards Go Eun Kang and creates this cute and bubbly romance.

Kang Daniel said, “I remember the scenes I shot with the actors of my age. I could feel this small yet wholesome energy around us. I lived as Seung Hyun for almost a year, and I now feel wiser, quite alike him.”

“Although there are many scenes where I could have done a better job, I was able to feel the charm of doing my own stunts from all these experiences. I really got into the series throughout the process, and I wish to have a more delightful and powerful experience as an actor in the future if there is a chance.”

Now that he has made a successful debut as an actor, Kang Daniel is ready to make his comeback to the K-pop scene as an idol singer. “I deeply thank all my fans who supported me. I will greet you again with a new album as an artist. I am working very hard on it. Please stay tuned!,” the singer added.
