[Weekly TV Top 10] ‘Our Beloved Summer’ Takes the Top Spot Once Again

Drama Ranking for the 2nd Week of January

SBS’s Our Beloved Summer took first place for the second week. Kim Dami and Choi Woo Shik’s reunion romance has started in earnest, drawing enthusiastic responses from fans. The prevailing opinion is that the two actors’ simple yet realistic performances tripled the drama’s charm. tvN’s Bulgasal: Immortal Souls rose to second place, but it’s still receiving mixed reactions. Despite the somewhat unconvincing development, Lee Joon’s transformation into a villain in his first TV series after four years is gaining rave reviews. SBS’s new drama Through the Darkness debuted at No. 4. Viewers are saying that it’s a well-made investigation drama with fresh material of criminal profiler and serious directing. MBC’s Tracer, aired in the same time slot, remained in sixth place. The “punishing the evil” plot and Im Si Wan’s deft acting are getting favorable responses. JTBC’s Snowdrop came in ninth. The controversy over historical distortion has dialed down, but it seems like it has already been pushed out of people’s interest.
