It seems like Lee Je Hoon‘s wish to work with Koo Kyo Hwan will finally come true with the new movie Escape (literal title).

On the 23rd, Lee Je Hoon’s agency COMPANY ON confirmed the actor’s casting in director Lee Jong Pil’s new movie Escape. “Lee Je Hoon has chosen Escape as his next movie. He’s been wanting to work with Koo Kyo Hwan, and he finally got a chance to do so. He’s happy to start the year 2022 with a great project,” they relayed.

Later the same day, Koo Kyo Hwan’s agency Namoo Actors also shared, “Koo Kyo Hwan is positively reviewing the offer he got from the movie Escape. We plan to make a final decision soon.”

Escape, directed by Samjin Company English Class director Lee Jong Pil, tells the story of North Korean soldiers attempting to escape the country. Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan will make shocking transformations into North Korean soldiers.

Previously, Lee Je Hoon expressed his desire to work with Koo Kyo Hwan at the 26th BIFF and the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards. Especially at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, Lee Je Hoon showed his love for Koo Kyo Hwan by making a heart with his fingers. To which Koo Kyo Hwan also responded with a finger heart, drawing keen attention.

Meanwhile, Escape will start filming in February 2022.
