JTBC’s new variety show Bistro Shigor (literal translation) will present a “delicious overseas trip” to France.
Bistro Shigor showcases the process of stars opening and running a pop-up restaurant in a small town away from the city. Choi Ji Woo, Cha In Pyo, Lee Jang Woo, Lee Soo Hyuk, Jo Se Ho, and TVXQ’s Changmin have joined the show.
The first filming took place at Samcheok, Gangwon-do, where the beautiful sea and scenery welcome people. The village hall, the villagers’ favorite gathering place, has transformed into a pop-up restaurant. From cooking, serving, and running the business, the cast learned secrets from top-tier mentors in Korea prior to filming, raising expectations.
The culinary team – Cha In Pyo, Lee Jang Woo, and Changmin – received the recipes from a French chef who is nicknamed “master of French gastronomy.” In addition, Choi Ji Woo, Jo Se Ho, and Lee Soo Hyuk, who are in charge of serving, have also learned luxury hotel services and recipes for traditional French desserts.
Especially, Bistro Shigor plans to show off the charm of the “affordable” restaurant by offering Michelin-starred French course dishes at the price of 19,900 KRW (about $17). Samcheok’s specialties will turn into a special French cuisine, offering a rich gourmet experience as if you had traveled to France.
Meanwhile, JTBC’s Bistro Shigor will premiere on October 25th at 9 PM KST.
