The BL web drama To My Star, which gained popularity at home and abroad, has confirmed the production of season 2.

According to Starnews, the second season of To My Star will begin filming next month. Director Hwang Da Seul will helm the production once again, following the first season.

To My Star depicts the bittersweet love story of actor Kang Seo Joon, a has-been actor who has gone off the rails, and Han Jin Woo, a handsome chef who hates going off the rails.

At the time of the release, the server went down as soon as the drama was released, as it rose to the top of the real-time charts of Naver Series On. Moreover, the show ranked 1st on Japan’s Rakuten TV and China’s Weibo. Later, it was also reborn as a movie on Netflix.

Thanks to fans’ enthusiastic support, To My Star will return with season 2. It is said that the production team is struggling to fill the new season with a richer composition and colorful story.

It’s especially meaningful in that the production team who participated in the previous work will once again come together. From Korea’s first BL web drama Where Your Eyes Linger to To My Star, the crew had made back-to-back hits.

Now, interest rises on whether the cast lineup – Son Won Hyun, Kim Kang Min, Kong Jae Hyun, and Jeon Jae Yeong – will stay the same.
