Wavve’s new original drama You Raise Me Up tells an unusual story of a man who reunites with his first love at a urology clinic.

It’s a steamy comedy series about Do Yong Shik, a man who is experiencing erectile dysfunction in his 30s. When he goes to a clinic for treatment, he runs into his first love, Lee Ru Da, as his urologist.

Yoon Shi Yoon plays Do Yong Sik, a jobless man studying for the civil service exam. Yoon said, “I decided to join the series because it deals with a refreshing theme that no one has ever tried before.” He continued, “I loved how the plot pleasantly explores the mysterious field of our lives. Throughout the production, I learned that erectile dysfunction could both affect the body and the mind. I was fascinated by the script that compared such a condition to this turbulent generation.”

Ahn Hee Yeon plays urologist Lee Ru Da. She shared, “With Ru Da’s specialty, I learned and experienced a lot about new things. I hope those elements would uniquely approach the viewers.” Then, she added, “Although she looks perfect and flawless on the outside, she can sometimes be lame, tender, and clumsy. I tried to make a three-dimensional character to effectively portray a bit of a sloppy side of her.”
