TVING original series The Witch’s Diner became the must-watch summer drama. The first episode, released for free on YouTube, surpassed 1. 4 million views, proving its popularity.

The popularity of The Witch’s Diner, premiere on the 16th, surged by word of mouth. The 1st episode uploaded on YouTube also easily exceeded 1.4 million views as of July 26th.

Originally, The Witch’s Diner planned to release two episodes every week. But thanks to viewers’ high interest in the show, the production team decided to release one episode per week to continue this craze a little longer.

Viewers’ explosive reactions are continuing on various online communities, portal sites, and YouTube. As if to prove why most of them are saying, “I saw it by chance and ended up watching the whole thing,” The Witch’s Diner is “strongly recommended” by viewers.

Satisfaction towards the actors also increased. From Song Ji Hyo to Nam Ji Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop, the chemistry of those working in the witch’s diner is highly praised. People are especially applauding the flawless performance and the unchanging beauty of Song Ji Hyo, who turned into a witch.

Now, The Witch’s Diner is considered the best fantasy rom-com since Hotel Del Luna. The bold and refreshing directing that blows away the sweltering heat is only raising more expectations.

Meanwhile, The Witch’s Diner releases one episode every Friday on TVING at 4 PM KST.

  • I like to binge my series so I haven’t start it yet, but it looks mighty darn enticing. Forcing myself to wait until 7 English subtitled episodes are up on Viki.com. Love the fantasy/horror mashups in Kdramas, pure mastery. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero like in on US television.
