
Disney Plus has officially confirmed the release of its upcoming original series, Code (litertal title), starring Nam Joo Hyuk, Lee Edam, Kim Eui Sung and Park Hoon.
The show is a mystery crime thriller helmed by Weak Hero Class 1 director You Su Min. The story follows a morally ambiguous lawyer who operates on the edge of the law after he is invited to join a mysterious, wish-granting app called “CODE.”
Nam Joo Hyuk stars as Yoon Tae Joo, a former prosecutor determined to become a partner at a top law firm. Driven by ambition, Tae Joo gets drawn into a dangerous world of desire after receiving an invitation to the app.
Lee Edam plays Park Ji Dam, a prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office who relentlessly investigates the mystery behind “CODE.” Ji Dam and Tae Joo share a complex past and maintain a tense, competitive relationship as their paths cross.
Kim Eui Sung joins the cast as Jo Cheol Ho, a hacker and North Korean defector who unexpectedly winds up teaming with Tae Joo. Park Hoon plays Im Chang Jae, a seasoned homicide detective and loyal friend to Tae Joo who helps him track down the truth behind the app.
The series is produced by SLL alongside WAW Pictures Company, the production company behind Disney Plus’s Low Life and the Steel Rain movie franchise.
Code is scheduled to premiere globally on Disney Plus in 2027.
