A Shop for Killers Season 2 is back — and the stakes are higher than ever.

The Disney+ action series drew strong reviews at home and abroad after premiering its first two episodes on July 22, kicking off a full-scale counterattack with bigger action and expanded worldbuilding.

The new season finally reveals what happened to Jin Man (played by Lee Dong Wook) after his apparent death. While his niece Ji An (Kim Hye Jun) was fighting off Babylon’s brutal attack, Jin Man was waging his own battle to strike at the heart of the organization.

His mission: steal Babylon’s top-secret server.

With help from his Murthehelp allies Pasin (Kim Min), Jin Woo (Kim Yun Sung), and newcomer Cheol Seung (David Paik), Jin Man puts together a carefully planned infiltration.

Disguised as Bale (Jo Han Sun), he slips inside Babylon and comes face-to-face with a menacing humanoid combat robot. The brutal sequence shows off the season’s upgraded action, before Jin Man’s long-awaited one-on-one showdown with Bale takes the tension even higher.

Ji An, meanwhile, had left the shop behind in hopes of living a normal life. But when a new Babylon faction appears, she is once again pulled into a much bigger fight.

The premiere quickly earned praise for its cinematic action and larger scale. NYLON Singapore said the series will “keep you on the edge of your seat, but also change the way you look at Korean action dramas,” while StarArena praised its “higher stakes, a broader universe, and a more ambitious story.”

ZAPZEE called the new season “hits harder” than the first, while Sports Today described it as the start of a global war. The Fact also noted that the new storyline “offers something fresh for returning fans.”

Now running the shop after a brutal handover, Ji An teams up with the newly returned Jin Man to take on Babylon’s global network.
