A court has approved a provisional seizure request against real estate owned by THE BOYZ members Younghoon and Q amid their legal dispute with One Hundred Label.
The request was filed by One Hundred Label, which is seeking damages from the members over their exclusive contracts. The company’s lawyer, Hyun Dong Yeop of H&K Law Firm, said on July 24th that the court’s decision marks the beginning of a larger lawsuit seeking around 8.8 billion won ($6.5 million) from THE BOYZ members. He added that the company plans to file additional seizure requests against other members as well.
The Seoul Eastern District Court approved One Hundred Label’s request to place a provisional seizure on Younghoon’s apartment in Seoul, on June 16th. A similar request against Q’s real estate was approved on July 23rd
One Hundred Label claims that the 1.5 billion won ($1 million) contract fees paid to each member were advance payments tied to their activities. The company argues that any remaining amount should be returned if the members do not fulfill their contracts.
Nine THE BOYZ members, excluding New, previously filed for an injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts with One Hundred Label, citing issues such as unpaid settlements, refusal to provide settlement documents, and management failures. The court approved their request in April, and they have also filed a separate case seeking to invalidate their contracts.
One Hundred Label said it calculated its claim against Younghoon at 513 million won ($350,000), including unpaid settlements and the remaining contract period and filed the seizure request.
Meanwhile, Younghoon’s legal team at Yulchon LLC filed an objection to the provisional seizure decision on July 13th. The two sides are expected to continue their legal battle over the court order.

ONE HUNDRED CEO Cha Ga Won has lost a lawsuit seeking around 8 billion won ($5.5 million) in damages from former THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon.
The Fact reported on July 23 that the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 28 dismissed ONE HUNDRED’s damages claim against Ju Haknyeon and ordered the company to cover the legal costs. The court stated that “the plaintiff’s claim against the defendant has no grounds.”
The lawsuit came after Ju Haknyeon was removed from THE BOYZ following controversy over photos showing him drinking and having physical contact with a Japanese adult film actress during a trip to Japan in June last year. Rumors later alleged that he was involved in prostitution, but those claims were found to be untrue.
ONE HUNDRED terminated Ju Haknyeon’s exclusive contract, claiming his actions damaged his reputation as a celebrity and violated the contract. The company then filed a lawsuit seeking around 8 billion won in damages, including estimated future earnings and penalties.
However, the court ruled in favor of Ju Haknyeon, saying his meeting with the woman was part of his private life and did not qualify as behavior serious enough to damage his dignity as an artist or justify contract termination.
The court also noted that the prostitution allegations resulted in a police decision of no charges, while reports claiming he engaged in prostitution led to defamation lawsuits. It concluded that there was not enough evidence to prove grounds for ending the contract.
Meanwhile, Cha Ga Won is currently facing multiple legal issues, including a police investigation over alleged fraud and embezzlement. He has also been involved in several exclusive contract disputes with artists under ONE HUNDRED and its affiliated labels.
Nine THE BOYZ members previously won an injunction confirming the suspension of their exclusive contracts with ONE HUNDRED and later filed a criminal complaint against Cha over alleged embezzlement.
Cha has also faced additional allegations involving unpaid artist settlements, unpaid employee wages, unpaid insurance fees and controversial management practices. Several affiliated artists have sought to terminate their contracts and leave the company.
