BLACKPINK member Lisa has reportedly turned her 2026 World Cup appearances into a massive payday.
According to a report by the UK’s The Sun, East of Eden’s head Nick Ede estimates that the global icon earned roughly £9 million ($11.8 million) through lucrative sponsorship deals and live performances surrounding the tournament.
That figure puts Lisa third among all musical performers at this year’s World Cup, trailing only Shakira (£15 million) and Justin Bieber (£12 million). When factoring in non-musical celebrities like David Beckham and Timothée Chalamet, Lisa ranked fifth overall in total World Cup earnings.
“Lisa and BLACKPINK brought one of the most loyal fanbases in the world to the tournament,” Ede noted. “By partnering with major global sponsors targeting mainstream sports fans and performing at key events, she was able to generate substantial revenue while cementing her status as a global brand ambassador.”
Lisa took center stage in Inglewood, California, performing at the opening ceremony ahead of the U.S. vs. Paraguay Group D match alongside artists including Future, Katy Perry and DJ Sanjoy.
Her performance marked only the second time a K-pop act has graced a World Cup opening ceremony—following BTS’s Jungkook at the 2022 Qatar World Cup—and made her the first female K-pop solo artist to do so.
“This World Cup has only elevated Lisa’s global profile,” Ede added, “proving once again her massive commercial value to major international brands.”
