Choo Ja Hyun will come back to the small screen with Green Mothers Club. This will be her first work in a year since My Unfamiliar Family, which ended in July last year. Green Mothers Club follows the five mothers who met at an elementary school community. Each of them has insecurities that they haven’t gotten over with. It’s a story about the five women and their pure friendship that’ll make viewers reexamine the definition of the word ‘friendship.’ Moreover, it will allow viewers to think about what it is to be a person and a mother.

16-part series My Unfamiliar Family is still in the process of casting. Currently, Lee Yo Won joined as a cast member of the show. The production will start shooting the series as soon as the casting process is finished. Reportedly, the earliest they can begin shooting is this summer. Meanwhile, JTBC is positively considering airing the show and whether it will be available online is also in discussion.

In 2005, Choo Ja Hyun made her acting debut in China. She garnered the title ‘the star of Asia’ by starring in a Chinese remake of Temptation of Wife. In 2017, she got a lot of attention in South Korea when she married her Chinese costar Yu Xiaoguang. Since then, she has starred in Korean shows such as My Unfamiliar Family and Beautiful World and received much acclaim for her solid performances.
