The Director’s Cut of ‘Color Rush’ is Coming to Netflix

Co-produced by Convergence TV and KT Storywiz, the director’s cut of Color Rush will be available on major streaming platforms starting from April 15th. It includes Netflix, Watcha, Wavve, and TVING.

The show simultaneously aired on both Korean and International platforms such as KT Seezn, Naver Series On, Rakuten, Viki, VIU, and LINE TV. Now with the director’s cut, the series is attracting attention once again.

Color Rush topped the Korean drama chart on China’s Weibo, came in 10th on Viki, 9th on VIU’s global drama chart, second for romance series, and the first on Line TV’s search rankings. The popularity of the show led fans to demand the second season. With such recognition, the director’s cut of the series unveiled. This version will reveal untold stories.

Based on a novel of the same name, Color Rush is about a protagonist who is color blind and sees the world only in shades of gray. However, he experiences a ‘color rush,’ an intense blast of color when he meets his soulmate.

“In the director’s cut, we focused on Yoo Han and Yeon Woo’s respective color rushes, especially on Yeon Woo’s shade of the ocean. To sum up, we considered as many ideas of the fans as we can,” said director Park Sun Jae ahead of the release. He added, “we further prepared the walking scene of the four friends in the corridors and schoolyard and a shirt clip as a surprise gift for fans who are watching the movie version of the show.”

The director’s cut of Color Rush will be released overseas on VIKI, Abema TV, and LINE TV, from April 15th. �
