Yoon Doo Joon might be returning as an actor for the first time in three years.
Yoon Doo Joon was offered the leading role in the new series according to media outlets: There’s No Goo Pil Soo (literal title).
There’s No Goo Pil Soo revolves around two male characters: Goo Pil Soo, a man in his 40s who dreams of his second heyday, and Jung Seok, a man in his 20s who dreams of his own start-up company.
The drama plans to draw realistic and empathic stories such as the recent social problems. It will cover various topics, from the housing and education craze to employment and start-up wars. But at the same time, it will capture the harmony between generations, completing a comic human drama.
Yoo Doo Joon may play the role of Jung Seok. He is a genius who entered the top university in Seoul without any private education. To him, studying was the easiest thing to do in the world. He believes that establishing a company is the only way for him to go from “have-nots” to “haves.” For the happiness of his mother and his lover, he dreams of becoming the Korean “Mark Zuckerberg.”
Backstreet Rookie screenwriter Son Geun Joo and Lee Hye Ri will pen the script. Cabin74 produces the drama.
There’s No Goo Pil Soo will begin shooting in July.
