According to SpoTVNews on the 2nd, all nine members of SF9 including Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Dawon, Ro Woon, Zuho, Yoo Tae Yang, Hwi Young, and Chanhee have renewed their contracts with FNC.

After debuting back in 2016, SF9 is drawing attention as they renewed contracts with FNC much earlier before the end of their contracts. This seems to have been due to the members’ faith in each other and their teamwork to maintain the team.

The group also broke through the ‘7-years jinx’ that most idol groups fail to overcome. The jinx has been established as it is common for idol groups to be disbanded, or have members leave them after seven years of debut. Despite the hex, SF9 reaffirmed their faith in each other as all members already agreed to renew their contracts with the agency this year. SF9 seeks to fly higher with the second act of their activities. As they entered their sixth year since the team’s debut, SF9 is to compete against BTOB, iKON, THE BOYZ, ATEEZ, and Stray Kids on Mnet’s Kingdom: Legendary War.

FNC Entertainment has renewed contracts with all SF9 members, along with their band N.Flying. As N.Flying members have been actively engaged in individual activities such as releasing solo albums and appearing in Japanese dramas, the agency is expected to be more secure and stable in operating.
