The bereaved families of the late rapper Iron decided not to request an autopsy.

“We had no intention of doing the autopsy from the first place. The body has been placed in the coffin already at 2 pm today,” said the deceased’s older sister A.

She added, “I was really upset after I saw the news reports, stating that the police will determine whether to go through with an autopsy or not after conferring with the family members.” But she politely declined to answer questions about the exact cause of death.

According to police, a security guard found Iron bleeding and unconscious by a flower bed of an apartment complex located at Jung-gu, Seoul, at 10:25 am KST and reported it. He was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead.

A shared, “Heon Chul (Iron’s real name) was in touch with us frequently till quite recently. He was stressed a lot because he was a perfectionist when it comes to music, but he had no health issues.”

Since last December, Iron has been under investigation for assaulting a teenage boy who was learning music from him with a baseball bat. “That student visited the service to pay his respects today. There are many things about the controversy that is different from the truth, and he is not on bad terms with our family. Please refrain from making further speculations.”

On January 26, a funeral service for the late rapper Iron was set up at the National Medical Center’s funeral hall. In front of the deceased’s portrait, three of his favorite things were placed, coffee, coke, and cigarettes.
