SF9’s Ro Woon will be starring in a romantic historical drama as the protagonist.
Staff from the drama department told Sports Daily on the 15th, “Ro Woon has been chosen as the main character of KBS 2TV’s new drama Yeonmo (T/N: An old Korean word that connotes one’s love and missing of the other).”
Ro Woon will be playing Jung Ji Woon, a man from the Joseon Dynasty. He is Park Eun Bin (Lee Hwi)’s a teacher and her first love. He does everything that makes him look cool, and never misses a chance to have some fun. He is the luckiest person of the era as his motto in life is to enjoy it. As an optimist, he has a firm belief in protecting all beautiful things.
This is Ro Woon’s first historical drama, after playing as main characters of Extraordinary You and JTBC’s She Would Never Know. He plans to illustrate a heart-fluttering romance with Park Eun Bin, who will be playing as a woman dressed up as a man.
Yeonmo is about the secret story about a king who is hidden from all parts of history. It is about a king who had to live as hid the fact that he was a woman. The drama depicts this chaotic romance between the king and the handsome character next to him.
It will be based on a cartoon of the same name by Lee So Young. Author Han Hee Jung writes the script, and the producer of Another Miss Oh and Beauty Inside, Song Hyun Wook will direct it. The drama is a part of KBS’s programs and will air this year.
