Minari actress Youn Yuh Jung wrote a new history by winning a total of 11 U.S. Film Awards trophies.
According to Pancinema, Youn Yuh Jung became a new legend after winning a total of 11 trophies by adding three more trophies to her list – best supporting actress awards from the DiscussingFilm Critics Awards, Music City Film Critics’ Association Awards and San Diego Film Critics Society Awards.
Director Lee Isaac Chung also proved his potential by winning three Best Pictures and 4 Best Screenplay with Minari. With such a feat, Minari seems to be on its flowery path to the Oscars.
In Minari, the story of a Korean immigrant family struggling for the American dream, Youn Yuh Jung took on the role of Korean grandma Soon Ja, who is far from what most grandmas are like.
