Trot Singer Kwon Do-woon, Who Recently Came Out As Gay, Becomes A Member Of Solidarity for LGBT Human Rights of Korea

Singer Kwon Do-woon, who recently came out as gay, joined the Solidarity for LGBT Human Rights of Korea as a member in celebration of National Coming Out Day!

On October 6th, singer Kwon Do-woon became the first artist in the trot industry to come out as gay. He decided to come out as a way to celebrate his 10th anniversary since his debut. His induction into the Solidarity for LGBT Human Rights of Korea as a new member is his first official schedule since that day.

According to MIDUM Entertainment, Kwon Do-woon joined the organization through his strong will for National Coming Out Day. The Solidarity for LGBT Human Rights of Korea gave an official statement: “We welcome Kwon Do-woon’s decision to come out.”

Regarding this event, Kwon Do-woon revealed, “This will be my first step in working towards improving the human rights of the LGBTQ+ community.”

Kwon Do-woon’s 18th album ‘The Two Of Us’ (literal translation) will be released on October 30th.

There is great attention as to how Kwon Do-woon will promote LGBTQ+ rights in the near future.
