CJ ENM made their official position regarding this year’s “MAMA” (Mnet Asian Music Awards).

Earlier today, a media outlet reported that “2020 MAMA” will be held in Korea for the first time in 10 years due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, an official from CJ ENM said, “We will hold ‘MAMA’ this year. The timing, venue, and how to proceed are currently under discussion. Nothing has been decided yet.”

First held in 1999 under the name of “Video Music Awards,” MAMA changed its name in 2010 to the current name and held the ceremony overseas for 10 years, including Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, and Japan.
