Actor Kim Soo Hyun is providing financial help to his father’s new family.
Kim Soo Hyun’s family history was covered during the latest episode of Channel A’s Rumor Has It, which aired on May 25.
The panelists revealed that Kim Soo Hyun’s biological father was the vocalist of the band Seven Dolphins. The band was popular at the time that they were paid about $4,700 per show.
However, other bands such as Songgolmae came out, and Seven Dolphins failed to maintain its popularity. During such time, Kim Soo Hyun’s father divorced his wife and started a new family.
In that regard, Hwan Young Jin informed the news he heard from his acquaintance regarding Kim Soo Hyun’s family matter. “You know, he (Kim Soo Hyun) is financially stable. He is currently providing financial help to his father, half-sister, and the mother who gave birth to his half-sister.”
This news made headlines since the news about Kim Soo Hyun’s family matter has already been made public. His biological father is Kim Choong Hoon from Seven Dolphins, and his half-sister is Kim Joo Na, who appeared on Mnet’s Produce 101.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun is currently filming for his new drama, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.
