In the buzzing world of K-pop, fans think that BABYMONSTER might be it. This seven-member girl group composed of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita has become the talk of the town.
Ahyeon, who gained some cred for her cover of “Dangerously,” has been conspicuously missing in action. Ever since July 25th, fans tracking YG’s well-known entry-exit routes and the official BABYMONSTER Instagram feed have noticed a glaring absence. For those of you who know a thing or two about YG Entertainment, you know this entry-exit is like the Gray Zone of the company where trainees use to enter the building—and build fandom even before their debut.

The past few weeks, Ahyeon’s fans have been speculating and generally freaking out. While some preached the virtue of patience, saying that Ahyeon might just pop up in some official posts later, the recent BLACKPINK concert threw gas on the fire. Only six members were spotted, with Ahyeon nowhere to be seen.

Moreover, already exasperated over the much-hyped September debut that is still pending, fans are now on the verge of exploding. One thing for sure, missing Ahyeon has led to an outright outcry against YG, with fans clamoring for an update on her situation and the group’s debut.
