Kim Se Jeong Is Offered to Star Opposite Ahn Hyo Seop in the New Web Novel-Adapted Series

Kim Se Jeong will likely take the lead in the new web novel-adapted series The Office Blind Date (literal title).

According to media outlets, Kim Se Jeong has newly joined the cast of The Office Blind Date. To which the actress’s agency shared, “The series offered her the lead role and she is positively reviewing it.”

This new romantic comedy series revolves around the CEO and his employee who met on a blind date under their false identity. The original web novel was published in 2017, and the webtoon version was released the following year. With their hot popularity, both versions have garnered 320 million cumulative views worldwide.

If she joins the project, Kim will be playing Shin Ha Ri. She goes on a blind date pretending to be her best friend. But this event turns into a nightmare when her date turned out to be her boss. Currently, Ahn Hyo Seop is considering his appearance as Kang Tae Moo, Shin Ha Ri’s opposite role.

Since Kim debuted as a member of I.O.I, she took part in the hit series on her third try. Earlier this year, Kim starred in OCN’s The Uncanny Counter, becoming the network’s first team to break the 10% rating barrier.

Kakao Page is in charge of planning and production of the TV version of The Office Blind Date. Cross Pictures, acquired by Kakao Page, will produce the series.
