The upcoming movie The Miracle heralded warm emotions and fun. And today, the trailer released its heartwarming trailer.
Set in 1986, The Miracle follows a high school math prodigy as he builds a way station in a rural village without a single road. In fact, the story is based on Yangwon Station located in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is the smallest station in South Korea. Be With You director Lee Jang Hoon will direct the film.
The clip begins with Jun Gyung (Park Jung Min) and Ra Hee (YoonA) secretly watching a bootleg cassette. The friendly atmosphere of youths’ peaceful daily life evokes a smile.
Besides Jun Gyung, who has to travel five hours every day, you can see his sister Bo Kyung (Lee Soo Kyung), who supports him no matter what. Then there’s also his engineer father Tae Yoon (Lee Sung Min).
To build a train station in his village, Jun Gyung repeatedly sends letters to the president. And to meet him in person, he even challenges a math competition and wins the first prize. The sight of Jun Gyung and his people working together to build a station puts a pleasant smile on our faces.
At the end of the video, Jun Gyung says, “Do you know why I wanted to make this station so much?” The extraordinary story of Jun Gyung and the country’s smallest train station amplifies curiosity.
The Miracle will be released in June.
