The producer of MBC’s new Wed-Thurs series Oh! Master (literal translation) has been changed. The show features actor Lee Min Ki, Nana, and Kang Min Hyuk as its leads. Producer Hyun Sol Ip is to depart and producer Oh Da Young will replace the vacancy.
An individual from the drama department told Sports Daily on the 1st that producer Hyun Sol Ip was suspended following the disciplinary committee due to internal accusations. The replacement was discussed accordingly and producer Oh Da Young became the new main director of Oh! Master.
Hyun Sol Ip recently directed a four-part drama named You Drive Me Crazy (2018) and thus raised expectations for the new upcoming drama. However, she dropped out of the show even before the show was introduced to the public due to internal controversy.
Oh! Master is a romantic comedy about a rom-com actress who cannot love and a screenwriter who does not love. After a break from producing drama during January and February, MBC will resume in March with Oh! Master as its first piece.
