BLACKPINK’s Jennie and WOODZ recently showcased their long-standing friendship.
WOODZ released a video titled “Why bother date with JENNIE” on his YouTube channel on April 29.
While introducing Jennie, WOODZ stated, “We’ve been friends for a very long time, and I think this is the first time we’re greeting you through a video.” Jennie remarked, “It’s very fun with the camera,” and WOODZ added, “It’s very awkward.” The two spent the day shopping together.
WOODZ began to say, “It’s been about 10 years since I met Jennie,” but Jennie pointed out, “10 years? Think about our ages now.” WOODZ revealed, “It was during a high school festival, when I was a trainee and you were very famous as a trainee. We met by chance at a school festival and said hello. That was the first time.” Jennie laughed and added, “For the record, I don’t remember that.”
WOODZ continued, “Then we became trainees at the same company, saw each other on and off, and it feels like we became close about 11 years ago.” Jennie mentioned, “Seungyeon said, ‘Play with me, play with me. I wish I had a fun friend like you.'” WOODZ shared, “We even went to the same elementary school,” and Jennie added, “That’s right. Our history runs deep.”
